Frequently asked
Medspa Marketing Questions, Answered
What medspa owners and aesthetic surgeons ask before hiring a growth partner — pricing, ad budgets, compliance, video production, and how fast this shows up in booked consults.
Cost & pricing
What It Costs
How much does marketing for a medspa cost per month?
Plan on two line items. Ad management is 15% of your monthly ad spend with a $1,000 monthly minimum, and video content plus marketing automation is a flat retainer — $3,000 per month on Growth and $7,000 per month on Authority. A practice spending $6,000 in ads on the Growth tier would pay $900 in management plus the $3,000 retainer, with the $6,000 ad spend billed directly by Google and Meta.
Why charge a percentage of ad spend instead of a flat fee?
It keeps incentives aligned. When your campaigns earn the right to scale, our work scales with them; when spend contracts seasonally, your management fee follows it down. It also means you are never paying for capacity you aren't using.
How much should an aesthetic practice budget for ads?
Most single-location medspas start between $2,000 and $4,000 per month, which is typically enough to test two to three treatment offers. Practices with multiple providers, several service lines, or more than one location generally run $8,000 per month and up.
Is there a setup fee or long-term contract?
No setup fee. The commitment is three months, then month to month. Paid campaigns and nurture sequences need roughly a quarter of data before optimization decisions are based on signal rather than noise.
What is a good cost per consult for aesthetic treatments?
It varies by treatment and market. Injectables and facials typically land in the $40 to $90 range per booked consult, while higher-ticket work such as body contouring or surgical consults often runs $150 to $400 — still profitable when the procedure value is several thousand dollars.
Ads & acquisition
Google & Meta Ads
Should a medspa run Google Ads or Meta Ads?
Both, for different jobs. Google captures people already searching — "botox near me," "morpheus8 [city]" — which converts fastest. Meta and Instagram create demand for treatments patients don't know to search for, and it's where before-and-after video does its best work. Most practices see the strongest results when search captures existing intent and social builds the pipeline feeding it.
Will my ads get rejected for before-and-after photos?
Not if they're built correctly. Meta restricts close-up depictions of body parts and "idealized" outcome framing, so we build creative around the patient experience, the provider, and the practice, use consented footage only, and keep claims within Google and Meta health-advertising policy. That is why campaigns stay live instead of cycling through rejections.
Do we own our ad accounts, pixel, and data?
Always. We work inside your Google Ads and Meta Business accounts, and the pixel, conversion history, audiences, and creative assets stay with your practice. If we part ways, nothing has to be rebuilt from scratch.
How do you track which leads turn into booked treatments?
We instrument the full path — form fills and calls, then booked consults, then closed treatments — so reporting shows cost per booked consult and revenue per channel rather than clicks. Where your CRM or booking system allows it, we feed offline conversions back into Google and Meta so the platforms optimize toward actual patients.
Video & content
Video Production
How much video content do we get each month?
Growth and Authority tiers include a monthly on-site shoot day that produces a batch of short-form vertical videos for ads, Reels, and TikTok, plus longer provider and treatment explainers. One efficient day at your practice is what fills the following month's content calendar.
Do you travel to our practice for shoots?
Yes. We're based in Charleston, SC and shoot on-site so the footage looks like your rooms, your providers, and your patients. Travel within 50 miles is included; beyond that it's billed at cost.
Do our providers need to be comfortable on camera?
It helps, but it isn't a prerequisite. We direct on set, use prompts rather than scripts, and can build a strong library from treatment b-roll, patient testimonials, and voiceover when a provider prefers to stay behind the camera.
Can we use the videos on our own channels?
Yes — every finished asset is yours to use across ads, organic social, your website, email, and in-clinic screens, with no per-use or licensing limits.
Automation & operations
Follow-Up & Automation
What does marketing automation actually do for a medspa?
It closes the gap between a lead and a booked chair. New inquiries get an immediate text and email response, no-shows get rebooking sequences, consults that didn't close get nurtured, and past patients get reminded when they're due for maintenance. Most practices lose more revenue to slow follow-up than to weak ads.
Does this work with our EMR or booking software?
We integrate with the common aesthetic stacks — Aesthetic Record, Boulevard, Zenoti, Mangomint, Podium, HubSpot, and similar — through native connections or webhooks. Where an integration doesn't exist, we route leads into a shared inbox so nothing depends on someone remembering to check a form.
Is patient follow-up HIPAA compliant?
Our sequences are built to avoid transmitting protected health information in marketing channels: messages reference appointments and next steps rather than diagnoses or treatments, and clinical detail stays inside your EMR. We'll also flag any tracking on your site that would send treatment-level data to ad platforms.
How quickly will we see results?
Leads usually start arriving in the first two to three weeks once campaigns and follow-up are live. Consult volume and cost per consult typically stabilize in month two or three as creative and audience data accumulate.
Working together
How We Work
Do you work with practices outside Charleston?
Yes. Ads, automation, and strategy run remotely for practices nationwide. On-site video is easiest across South Carolina and the Southeast; elsewhere we schedule production travel or build campaigns around a periodic shoot.
Do you work with our competitors in the same market?
No. We take one aesthetic practice per market so we're never bidding your keywords against another client.
What do you need from us to get started?
Access to your ad accounts and website, your treatment and pricing list, whoever answers inbound leads, and one shoot day on the calendar. Onboarding takes about two weeks from kickoff to live campaigns.
How do we start?
Book a 15-minute intro call. We'll look at your current ads, follow-up speed, and content, and tell you plainly whether we're the right fit before anyone talks about a contract.
Still deciding?
Fifteen minutes is usually enough to tell whether we're the right fit for your practice. No pitch deck, no pressure.
